Korravai or KOTTRAVAI

 Korravai or KOTTRAVAI The Tamil Mother. She is also the mother of the Tamil god Murugan.

It is during the reign of Pallava's in the 5th-6th century CE that she took the form of MAHISHASURAMARDINI or DURGA.
Some where in the period of the South-North merging of culture, She was represented as the consort of Shiva and the mother of Skanda.
The RAM was her Vahana.

Well preserved definitely pre Chola era.

  THIRU PARAMESHWARA VINNAGARAM OR VAIKUNTHA PERUMAL TEMPLE KANCHIPURAM Thiru Parameswara (The greatest Lord) Vinnagaram (temple) or Vaikunta Perumal Temple is a temple dedicated to Vishnu & his concert Vaikundavalli located in Kanchipuram. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple finds mention in the Divya Prabhanda the early medieval tamil literature of the Azhwar saints from the 6th–9th centuries AD. It is one among the 108 temples dedicated to Vishnu.
