KAILASHA being lifted by RAVANA

Pleased with RAVANA’s penance   lord SHIVA granted him the boon of being the mightiest person in the world.  In order to test his might, he started with trying to uproot the KAILASHA Mountain in order to lift it.

The calm SHIVA with PARVATHI to his right, presses his toe on the ground and traps RAVANA

The shaking KAILASHA, Petrifies PARVATHI, Gods,  Rishi’s and Gana’s. LORD SHIVA presses the KAILASHA Mountain with his toe, which stops the shaking and traps and crushes RAVANA. The suffocated RAVANA realizes that he might be very mighty, but is not equal to even the pressure of the toe of LORD SHIVA.

The serene lord SHIVA sports a calm look and protects his family

The all-pervading SADASHIVA in a relaxed sitting posture with PARVATHI to his right, has a calm serene face. The entire panel, except for the face of SHIVA is vandalized by the Portuguese. The crowned and Neck laced SHIVA with a snake on his left arm and a waist ornament, bringing calm to his agitated family.

Lord GANESHA  at the extreme right of the KAILASHA panel adoring his father..

A bony BHRINGI is sitting at the left of LORD SHIVA. LORD GANESH is to the extreme left of the lord.

VEERABHADRA the incarnation of SHIVA with a skull on his crown.

LORD MAHA VISHNU is on his mount GARUDA just behind the left hand of LORD SHIVA.

The base of the Panel where RAVANA  is trying to lift KAILASHA the abode of SHIVA is totally devastated.
